Here a bit about our competition winner Kimkim badger

“My name is Kim and I have been needle felting for just over a year after I received a starter kit as a Christmas present. Little did I know it would turn into an amazing obsession which allowed me to open my Facebook page ‘The Heart Felt Robin’. I now make OOAK limited edition animal characters including badgers, foxes, mice and hares. Each animal has its own individual character and many have handmade clothes and bags. I also enjoy using vintage accessories such as wooden cotton reels and building blocks to mount my work onto.
I mainly use carded wool including Shetland, Merino and Corriedale. I love using Heidifeathers felting needles, my favourite being Red 38, Blue 40, Light Blue 40 twisted and always finish my work off by using a 42 Gold which gives my pieces a fantastic smooth surface.”
